In the examples below you will find the first box saying "Please Join Us For a Baby Shower in Honor of" then you type in the persons' name. This is font Georgia size 30 to make the who the baby shower is for top line. The next box is "Attending Information" where you type in where the baby shower is, the time, place and any other details. This is also in Georgia font however in size 24 to match the attending baby shower information. The third box is the RSVP of the baby shower information and the fourth box is to list the hostesses which both boxes are also Georgia font 24 to match the already places text. You can save the work and share the the file via email with the other hostesses to make sure you all like what it says before printing. There is a matching flower stroller blank sheet you can also download to add extra information about the baby shower if needed. This is our free "I Heart My Soldier" Stationery shown when it opens in Adobe Reader 8 or higher. Click the blue section to start writing your letter. NOTE: Not all computers will show the blue highlight when Adobe Reader 8 opens. If that happens please give the file a minute to load and click anywhere in the blue section and start typing.

Once you start typing your letter you can see (shown in image below) the blue area will go away because it was only highlighted to show you where to type. The text size is set on auto so as you fill the box the text will get smaller. If your letter becomes long, making the text size very small, you might want to start a second stationary page.

To do this:

1) Save this page as a new file name to your computer. Do this by clicking File > Save as > Pick a fold on your computer and make a new file name such as Page 1 Letter to Mike.

or

2) Print page 1 then delete the text you have written and write page 2 and print and so forth.

or

3) Save with new file name and print. To do this, print the file, then click File > Save as > Pick a folder on your computer and make a new file name such as Page 1 Letter to Mike. 

* You need to save as a new file name so that you can open original file without the saved text to start the second page. Repeat this process to start as many pages of this free printable I Heart My Solder Stationery as you need.

Idea: In the Tools > Comments & Markup are shapes such as clouds, oval, free hand pencil and many other shapes kids can use to draw a picture as their part of the letter.

Baby Card

This is an example of the Baby Card opened in Adobe Reader 8. You will see a blank pink square that you can type in before printing. You can also save your work so you can return to it later to finish. If you type more than the box can hold you will get a scroll bar and not all the information in the box will print, only what is showing will print. However if you plan to pass the card on via an email attachment to invite people to the party, they will be able to read all the information in the scroll box as long as the people you are passing the invitation to also have Adobe Reader version 7 or higher. You only need to click File > Attach to Email to pass the invitation on. You can even use this feature to pass the card or invitation between people throwing the party so everyone can add their own input before doing a final print or email send to party guest.

Suggestions for What Paper to Use and How to Decorate the Card

We suggest that you print the note cards on decorative scrap-booking paper, preferably scrap-booking paper that is plain white on one side. Print the note card so that the image prints on the plain white side of the paper (you may need to refer to your printer manual for help, or just experiment with one piece of paper so that you know how to put the scrap-booking paper into the printer so that the card image prints on the plain side).

Another option is to print the cards on colored stationery paper, preferably a plain color. However, if you want to use stationery paper that is decorated on one side, you should print the card so that the image is on the plain side.

You can also print the card on plain white paper or any other color or regular printer paper.

If your child will be sending the note, then have him/her write a note on the side with the image, and then use crayons, colored pencils, or markers to draw a picture on the other side.

Use your imagination to personalize the card! You can decorate the other side of the card with stickers or even cut pictures out of magazines to make a colorful collage. If you are familiar with how to scan and print photos, then print some of the family (or a favorite pet), in various sizes. Cut out the photos and use a glue stick to attach to the back of the note card.

You can also cut out a piece of colored construction paper, the same size as the actual card, and glue to the back of the card. This will give the card more stability, especially if you are using it as a birthday card.

Since it is a half-fold card, you can fold the card to mark the crease, re-open the card, and then write on just the lower half of the card. Decorate or even glue a family photo to the top half. Fold and insert into the envelope. When the recipient opens the note, there will be a picture on the top and a personal note on the bottom.
