Free Scouts Hiking Bag (boy).
These are more detailed step-by-step instructions:
1. Fold bag on the line marked number 1. Note that the bag might not fold exactly in the middle of the page depending on printer setting; however it is recommended that you use the fold line.
2. Lay the bag so that “© by MomsBreak.com or licensors. Terms see MomsBreakInc.com” is face up.
3. Fold the two lines marked number 2 inward. Tape or glue these side tabs.
4. Fill the bag with your bag fillers (i.e., candy, party favors, gift card, etc.).
5. Fold down remaining top flap (marked number 3) to close the bag. Tape or glue closed. Note that you may have to fold over the ends of both sides of the bag, depending on how the bag prints on your printer. Tape or glue the folded-over flap to close the bag.
Special Notes:
* Remember when using glue to allow the glue time to dry between steps.
* Printer types and settings do vary. These instructions should provide enough information for folding and closing the bag. However, it always best to do one test print and fold before printing several bags.
You can find a tutor for folding this bag at Jan’s Reading Room bag tutor which is valentine but the same principle applies. There is also how to fold video tutor offer by Moms Break, this is a holiday tutor but the same principle applies.
Game Idea:
Gather scouting items small enough to fit loosely into Scouts
Hiking Bag.
Depending on how many Scouts items you have decided to use, print the same number
of Scouts Hiking Bags. Have the Scouts assemble the bags and return them to the
leader. The inserting the items, write a number on each bag. Then make a list
of what is in each bag (such as, Bag #1: small compass, Bag #2: badge). This
will be the “answer key” to use at the end of the game.
Put one item(s) in each bag; add a small bit of confetti (alternative: use
cotton balls for less mess, pull apart a cotton ball), or shredded paper in the
bag and seal. This will make it harder for the kids to guess what is in the
bag.
At the Scouting event give each scout a piece of paper and pen. Pass the bags
around, one at a time, and have each Scouts write down their guess of what is
in the bag. * This is also a fun game to play at home with your kids – Just
for fun or a spelling lesson!
After all the bags are passed around and everyone has written down their
guesses, use the answer key to call out the item in each bag. Have the Scouts score
their own guesses. The game winner is the person who has the most correct
guesses.
